Amidst the current crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HalloHallo Entertainment (HHE) has decided to extend the voting period for the MNL48 Third General Election.
In a statement released through social media last Thursday, HHE came to the decision of extending the time frame for voting due to the current pandemic and the corresponding enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) throughout Luzon, which has affected the payment and processing of pre-order transactions. Due to the development, the General Election day and announcement of results will be also moved to a later date. HHE also assured in the statement that pre-order transactions done during the ECQ will still continue despite the current situation. On the other hand, some of the GE candidates have already started their campaigns through the Kumu app along side the continuing voting period. Team NIV's Belle delos Reyes, Third Generation aspirant Rachel Suazo and Team L's Grace Buenaventura are the first batch of candidates that made their campaign debut live last Friday. More candidates will feature in the following days as they interact with fans and try to secure support to get into the top 48.
