Enduring the test of time is a daunting task. Only those who are courageous and willing enough to sacrifice everything will make it through, while most are succumbing under its weight.
For MNL48, celebrating its third year anniversary today has been an achievement worthy of praise from its loving community.
Ever since it came into fruition in 2018, the group itself went on to contribute and blaze a new trail in the local idol scene. Armed with unrelenting perseverance and an undying desire to make their mark in the Philippine music scene, MNL48 released six singles, built a passionate fanbase that is still growing bigger by the day, and positioned itself as a cornerstone for a rising "Pinoy Pop" movement that is being recognized locally and internationally.
Despite of these achievements, the idol group has not been spared from numerous trials that served as a challenge to its stability and existence. In addition to those, they've been also hit hard by the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic last year which limited their activities and events for a considerable period of time.
However, MNL48 chose to defy the odds and navigated through a tricky time with the members personifying a fighting spirit that can't be easily broken and buoyed by an ever-devoted community of fans that has stayed with them through thick and thin. The group stayed together in course and has headed into the present with the aim to reach higher goals.
Looking back, the idol group's three years of existence has proved one thing: that a dream is worth fighting for, no matter how hard the journey might be. Moreover, MNL48's impact is more than just a budding group consisting of talented and resilient individuals. It has also formed a community and gave people inspiration to face life's hardships head on.
It’s as if MNL48 embodied the spirit of the Filipino -- one who strives hard for his or her dream and went on to swim in the cold river of trials and tribulations to make it.
We'd like to thank all who helped shape and form MNL48 to the rising idol group it is today, from the coaches, the staff and most importantly, all of its hardworking members. Their continuous dedication and commitment to the group has been evident since its inception, not mentioning the sacrifices each one had to give especially in times of extreme struggle. We truly believe that their hardships will be rewarded in due time.
Furthermore, we like to recognize the efforts of the fandom who served as the lifeblood of the group. Proving to be a solid foundation where the young ladies can take their strength to take on the challenges of being an idol, we should never stop in our aim to advance MNL48 and help them achieve great things, every step of the way.
Long may MNL48 remain, not only to be a progressing idol group but to also be an inspiration to many of us.
