"RIVER" music video to premiere on November 27


The long wait is almost over for the MNL48 fan community as the much-awaited music video for the idol group's sixth single "RIVER" will be launched this November 27 at 6:00 PM local time.


Abby Trinidad confirmed the said announcement on the Sulong Pilipinas fundraising livestream last night. Only the second music video to be released from them this year, the ongoing pandemic crisis did not dampen the spirits of its senbatsu members as they aim to lead MNL48 and finish 2020 with a bang.



It can be remembered that the original premiere date of November 15 was scrapped due to humanitarian reasons as major parts of the country was still reeling from the aftermath of Typhoon Ulysses.



MNL48 members step up to help typhoon victims


With an overwhelming desire to help families and individuals affected by Typhoon Ulysses, MNL48 members has made their presence felt by participating in different donation drives and fundraising events over the past week.


Dana Brual and Jem Caldejon are few of the members who has quickly responded to the call after the typhoon ravaged Luzon. Brual quickly set up a donation drive while Caldejon assisted in doing tracing for rescue requests. Both already started distributing relief goods from the donations last Sunday, November 22, in Marikina City.



Close friends Jan Elaurza, Kay Ishiyama, Thea Itona and Ruth Lingat has launched their #JKTRproject as they conducted two fundraising streams last November 16 and 18. Shaina and Shaira Duran also joined the fun in the said fundraising stream. The project successfully raised Php24,059.07 in donations which were donated to their chosen partner NGO.



Emz Macabutas also did her share as the Team MII member was featured in the Virtual Charity Gig series of the Facebook music community page "Anti Pop Punk Pop Punk Club" last November 17 (Tuesday) and November 21 (Saturday).


MNL48 has also conducted its own fundraising campaign Sulong Pilipinas, conducting a Kumu live marathon that went on for nine hours last November 20 (Friday) and a YouTube show yesterday featuring the members of the "RIVER" senbatsu.


Other members also did their part to help, either via sharing important hotlines or posting details of donation drives where their fans can help.



Baby Blue makes waves as "Negastar" nears full-track release


Fans have welcomed MNL48 unit group Baby Blue's second single "Negastar" with open arms as it was unveiled last week.


Incorporating elements of R&B and hip-hop, Negastar's full track will be released on November 25 (Wednesday) on various platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify. Its 60-second teaser has already reached over 19,000 streams in the digital music streaming platform EGGS, as of press time.



Moreover, the official Baby Blue accounts on Twitter and Instagram has posted different solo pictures of the unit group's members, namely Jan Elaurza, Coleen Trinidad and Amy Isidto, over the past few days which has led to sustained hype throughout the fanbase.



MNL48 takes lead on RAWR Awards' Favorite Group race


As the voting period heads into its final week, MNL48 has finally catched up and currently holds the top spot in the Favorite Group category of the LionHearTV 2020 RAWR Awards.

As of 11:00 PM last night, MNL48 has garnered 49.48% of the online votes. Despite that, they only hold a slim lead as the popular male group SB19 catches up in second with 49.04%.


Other sources of votes for the award will come from bloggers, PR agencies and eMVP Digital search engine results. The voting period will end on November 30 (Monday).
